Barbara Ruzansky, ERYT, is the founder and director of West Hartford Yoga (WHY) in Connecticut. She is widely known throughout New England for her challenging instruction as well her compassion, support, humor and warmth. As a teacher and leader Barbara sets the bar high, but encourages self-acceptance while helping her students strive to reach their personal best. Barbara developed WHY Power Yoga, a Vinyasa practice, synthesizing her 25 years of practicing yoga. It is a powerful yet accessible practice which challenges body and mind, builds core power, brings energy to the legs, ignites internal heat, promotes a cleansing sweat, and offers the opportunity for deep healing and release. WHY Power is spiritually nourishing, carefully respecting students' physical and emotional limitations while gently guiding people to their edges. Students have said she has an uncanny ability to see where they are blocked and to help them move forward towards a healthier life. Her website is: www.westhartfordyoga.com
