Join us for a wonderful week with these accomplished senior Iyengar yoga teachers. Mary and Dean have abundant experience in fostering student's practice and mentoring other yoga teachers. They'll help you understand the core principles of the Iyengar method and integrate the underlying philosophy of yoga into your life. Rebecca Lerner. who has received rave reviews in previous years of assisting, will again join Dean and Mary.
This workshop offers a complete program of asana practice and pranayama classes for all students. The afternoon yoga teacher training sessions will lay the foundation for those just beginning to teach and help experienced teachers refine teaching skills and prepare for Teacher in Training to Intermediate Junior III Iyengar Yoga certification.
Dean Lerner is a longtime student of B.K.S. Iyengar and has served a four-year term as President of the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Association of the USA. He brings a rare blend of internal balance and keen perception to his teaching. Dean lives in State College, PA and co-directs Yoga For Health with his wife Rebecca Lerner.
Mary Dunn, one of the first Iyengar yoga teachers in the United States, has been instrumental in founding Iyengar yoga centers in San Francisco, San Diego and New York. She reaches out to all students, sharing her love and knowledge of this life art in a clear, dynamic and generous manner. Mary lives in New York and teaches at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York.
