Marla Apt
Marla Apt, a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher has been teaching yoga for over 15 years. Marla served as the President of both the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States and the Iyengar Yoga Association of Southern California. She is currently on the National Certification committee and is an assessor for Iyengar Yoga teaching certification exams. She has been an organizer of the last three Iyengar Yoga National Conventions (two of them hosting Geeta Iyengar) and also helped with the organization of B.K.S. Iyengar's Light on Life book tour in 2005 in the U.S.A.

Sherri Baptiste
Sherri Baptiste was born into a rich heritage and family of pioneering yoga teachers, her parents Magaña and Walt Baptiste, who established yoga on the West Coast in the mid-1950s. Sherri has been teaching yoga since her her teens and is the founder of Baptiste Power of Yoga, and her yoga teacher-training program is recognized by Yoga Alliance.

Baxter Bell
Baxter Bell, MD, has been actively deepening his understanding of yoga and relaxation since making the stress-reducing move from a career as a busy family doctor to that of a yoga teacher and medical acupuncturist. Baxter is featured in Yoga Journal's DVD, "Yoga for Stress" and has written articles for Yoga Journal, Yoga for Everybody, and International Journal of Yoga Therapy.

Sierra Bender
Sierra Bender, is certified as a Prana Yoga teacher, personal fitness trainer, Kripalu Yoga teacher, Kripalu Bodywork, massage therapist, medical intuitive, and energetic healer. Also trained in exercise physiology, nutrition, aromatherapy, menopausal heath, addictions and abuse. Her retreats are international and clients include celebrities, Olympic and professional athletes as well as Wall Street and Fortune 500 CEO's. Sierra's workshops help women tap into their often-overlooked feminine strength.

Cheri Clampett
Cheri Clampett, R.Y.T. and certified Yoga Therapist, created the Therapeutic Yoga Professional Education program as a culmination of over 15 years of teaching yoga and adapting yoga systems to people dealing with illness and injury. She has recently presented her style of yoga at Beth Israel Medical Center, The Rusk Institute at NYC Medical Center, and the white Lotus Teacher Training. Cheri focuses on the healing aspects of Yoga: freeing the body, breath, and flow of energy through practicing with awareness and love.

Jason Crandell
Jason Crandell is the Yoga Director at The San Francisco Bay Club, a regular presenter at Yoga Journal conferences, and staff instructor at Yoga Journal Magazine. He is Yoga Journal"s Basics columnist and has been featured in Natural Health, Yoga For Everybody, 7x7, and San Francisco Magazine.

Keith Borden, E.R.Y.T., is a bhakti, an interfaith minister and a Senior Laughing Lotus Teacher (New York & San Francisco). In addition to teaching asana classes, Keith continues to study, lead kirtan, and mentor and teach in the Laughing Lotus College of Yoga at Laughing Lotus in New York and San Francisco. He also provides private yoga and workshops.

Nicki Doane
Nicki Doane started teaching in 1992. She cites Pattabhi Jois, along with Eddie Modestini, Gabriella Giubilaro, and Tim Miller among her most influential teachers. She is an authorized teacher of Ashtanga Yoga. Although rooted in Ashtanga, Nicki's teaching goes beyond the traditional. Her classes combine asana, pranayama, philosophy, and poetry.

Eddie Modestini
Eddie Modestini has been doing yoga since July of 1983. His first teacher was a woman from the San Francisco bay area named Gayna Uransky. Realizing that he had found his path, he lost no time in jumping in with both feet. His first introduction to yoga was Iyengar Yoga and he became a certified teacher in a short time. He was part of the first batch of teachers certified on the East Coast. Many of those in his group have gone on to become senior Iyengar teachers.

Lilias Folan
Lilias Folan's groundbreaking yoga series, Lilias!, is back on PBS throughout the USA. She's featured in the new Barnes and Noble book, American Yoga, as one of 24 master yoga teachers who have made a contribution to yoga in America. She has shown continual dedication to making yoga accessible to the American public through her books, audio tapes and videos. Watch for Lilia's new book, Lilias! Marti Glenn, Ph.D.
Marti Glenn, Ph.D., is founding president of the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, offering the first graduate degrees in Somatic Psychology and Pre- and Perinatal Psychology. She is a psychotherapist in private practice, a weaver of story and song, and a guide to women in times of transition.

JJ Gormley-Etchells
JJ is the founder of the Sun and Moon Yoga Studios in Virginia. She has a very diverse background having studied from many traditions since 1979, most recently the teachings of Desikachar. In 1989 she began teaching yoga and in 1993 opened her own yoga studio, which operated, out of her basement for two years before moving to retail space in April of 1995. She has recently moved to Eureka, MT and travels back to VA to keep her hands in the mix at Sun and Moon. As Director of the Teacher Training Programs at Sun and Moon, she continues to correspond with and coordinate over 60 students in the three programs and the Teacher Training Faculty. Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D.
Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D. and physical therapist, is a respected and internationally-known yoga teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. She is the author of Relax and Renew: Restful Yoga for Stressful Times, the best-selling book on restorative yoga. Her new book is Living Your Yoga: Finding the Spiritual in Everyday Life, both from Rodmell Press, Berkeley, CA.

Rebecca Lerner
Rebecca Lerner: co-director of the Center and an Intermediate junior III Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor, has been practicing and teaching yoga since the 1970's. Rebecca has studied four times in India with Shri B.K.S. Iyengar. Richard Miller
Richard Miller, PhD, author of Yoga Nidra: The Meditative Heart of Yoga, is a contemporary spiritual teacher, honored by Yoga Journal and featured in American Yoga and Will Yoga and Meditation Really Change My Life? He is president of the Center of Timeless Being, past president and founding member of the Institute for Spirituality and Psychology, and co-founder of The International Association of Yoga Therapy.

Erich Schiffmann
Erich teaches a healing, opening style of yoga emphasizing moving into stillness while being guided from within. He blends five years experience at the Krishnamurti School in England with studies with B.K.S. Iyengar, T.K.V. Desikachar and Joel Kramer.
