Tibetan Children's Education Foundation

The Feathered Pipe Foundation's seva includes working for Tibetan refugee children's education in exile. Our staff, friends and associates have been sponsoring the education of needy Tibetan children in exile for many years. Our Foundation was involved in starting a small non profit- The Tibetan Children's Education Foundation (TCEF) which is dedicated to helpTibetan children get a decent education. The Feathered Pipe Foundation has been an umbrella organization for TCEF and has nurtured and guided its growth. TCEF today is a non profit organization of its own standing, but the FPF continues to support it whenever and whereever necessary. One of the most effective ways for TCEF to reach out to more people to find sponsors and support for its work is through nation-wide tours and slide presentations. Besides providing all logistical support for such tours, it is the Feathered Pipe Foundation's circle of friends and contacts that host events at various places and makes these tours possible.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to TCEF.

1. Finding sponsors for needy Tibetan children

TCEF connects caring and interested persons here in the West with needy Tibetan children in exile. For $35 a month, you can sponsor the education of a Tibetan child in exile.

2. Spreading awareness of Tibetan issues and Tibetan culture in the West.

TCEF is continously searching for ways to do this. Currently it is working to bring three Tibetan thangka painters for a three month residency at Basin, MT, to be followed by a traveling exhibition on thangka painting in select museums and institutions in the north-west.

3. Working on other projects vital to Tibetan children's education.

TCEF strives to do its part in critical areas that affect the quality of Tibetan children's education in exile. One of its current focus is on Computer Education. TCEF thinks that Computer Education is a vital component of Tibetan children's education in exile and strives to introduce it in Tibetan schools. Last year it got funding from the Good Works Institute, Idaho to purchase 30 computers for the Tibetan school at Clement Town in North India.
